I’m going back to my Roots! My Father celebrated his 76th B-Day yesterday! He looks younger than ever. It’s gotta be those Bori Boy genes. I stopped by for some quality time and to dig through his quality record collection. He’s been collecting since a teenager in the 60’s. He got his vinyl stashed in the closet. I dug out a few gems 💎 Some Soul, Jazz, Disco, R&B, Funk, Salsa & Breakbeats! Plus some early rap records. There’s seems to be a misconception that Puerto Ricans only listened to Latin music and wasn’t Hip to the Hop. Growing up in the states especially in the “Rotten Apple “ opened up a whole other can of worms! A whole Nuyorican was born and added sabor to the melting pot of the world (NYC)! Full interview coming soon.
