Half a century in the kitchen isn’t just a career. It’s a legacy.

When Sodexo came to us to help celebrate Executive Chef Alfred Melot’s 50-year milestone, we knew a standard coat wouldn’t cut it. Gold thread, custom detailing, and 50 years of passion stitched into every detail.

Chef Alfred, thank you for setting the standard for five decades.

Here’s to your golden anniversary!

🏆 GOLD STITCHED. LEGACY MADE

This morning, I learned through Chef William Ye’s post of the passing of one of the most phenomenal people I’ve had the privilege of meeting on this journey—Lucien Salama, CEO of New Chefs Fashion.
Ten years ago, I ordered my very first chef coat from New Chefs Fashion and immediately knew they would be the company behind every chef coat I wore. As a designer, craftsmanship means everything to me, and Lucien and his team always delivered excellence.
In 2019, after congratulating me on an award, Lucien invited me to create a signature chef coat. I designed it in black sequins, and when I opened the box, I was overwhelmed. They had captured my passion, personality, and journey in one beautiful jacket. Soon after, I was honored as the very first female New Chef Elite.
That was Lucien. He believed in people, encouraged their dreams, and turned visions into reality.
Thank you, Lucien, for believing in me, and thank you to your wife, family, and the entire New Chefs Fashion team—especially @ariana_rodriguez_designs and @tailoredbyvic —for your unwavering support throughout the years.
I will treasure every chef coat you created for me. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of chefs, designers, and dreamers.
Rest in eternal peace, my friend. ❤️🙏🏾🕊️
