@tchalamet flew from France to the Nevada desert for Vogue’s cover shoot with Annie Leibovitz. The process was exhausting and exhilarating—three days at the massive land-art installation “City” by Michael Heizer, constructed between 1970 and 2022. “It’s just a totally remote experience,” Chalamet says.

“City”—which has become something of a pilgrimage site for land-art cultists—is open just three days a week, to six visitors per day (reservations are now open for the 2026 season, from May 5 to November 19).But Heizer’s work will be more accessible to New York audiences come February, when Gagosian mounts an exhibition of his new work.

For Vogue’s December issue, @tchalamet talks to Mattie Kahn about accepting rejection, reconciling work and family, and going super hard, every time. “My superpower is my fearlessness,” says the star. “That’s the feedback I’ve gotten since I was a kid.” Tap the link in bio to read the full profile.

The animating question of the upcoming film, “Marty Supreme,” is whether a person has to be selfish to be great. “You don’t have to be selfish to be great, no. And I know, because I’ve worked with directors who are incredible and who are incredibly present in their family life,” shares cover star Timothée Chalamet. No spoilers, but the specter of fatherhood hangs over “Marty Supreme” too, and it’s something Chalamet would like to experience.
