Takai Emerson Hardy has been locked in all summer!! Coming off a historic season at cal state east bay, he was a solid rotation player. Going into this season he has set some personal goals and has shown an increased level of intensity and focus in his workouts. He is a sponge and is always asking for feedback. Excited to see him translate the work he has put in this summer!!

7.25.26 | Fil-Am Nation Select San Francisco 90 - FEU (Far Eastern University) 87

What a game. One we’ll never forget.

We had the opportunity to face Far Eastern University (FEU), one of Manila’s premier college basketball programs. In just a short amount of time, we were able to bring together talented players from all across California for this special, once-a-year tune-up game.

The game had its share of highs and lows. As coaches, it’s stressful trying to make constant adjustments while competing against a high-level team. But that’s what makes moments like these so rewarding.

Our boys never quit.

With just 3 minutes remaining, we found ourselves down 11 points. We turned up the defensive pressure, forced FEU into difficult decisions, and came away with crucial stops. On the other end, our players stayed poised and knocked down big shots when they mattered most.

Down 3…

We forced another turnover and called timeout.

Coach Ryan Sera (@samury.skills ) quickly drew up a play.

🏀 @jantifaygo knocks down the game-tying three.

87-87.

We turned up the pressure once again, forced another FEU turnover, and got the ball back with just 3 seconds left.

Timeout.

Coach Ryan drew up one final play.

🏀 @takai23 catches the inbound, takes one dribble, pulls up from nearly the volleyball line…

BANG‼️

Game winner.

FEU 87

This wasn’t just about the final shot. It was about resilience, trust, composure, and a group of young men who refused to quit.

Thank you to FEU for an incredible battle. Much respect to one of the Philippines’ top collegiate programs.

To our players, coaches, and families—this is a game we’ll remember for a long time.

Go Get It.

Doing what you love to do is a blessing. I feel like it’s Gods work being done everyday! The opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with the youth is so rewarding.

A basketball court is where I feel most at home!
For me, it’s one place I can be where I know what I’m doing and what I’m talking about.

Grind with purpose! Grind with passion! #dominate

Basketball gave me more than just the game it gave me relationships and memories I’ll carry forever. I’m grateful for every teammate, every coach, and everyone who supported me along the way. I started this journey with a dream, and I’m leaving with something I’ll always be proud of. No regrets, just appreciation for everything this game gave me. Thank you God for the journey!🙏🏽💯

🔥 PERFECT SEASON.

Congratulations to Vanden High Alum Takai Hardy and the Cal State East Bay Pioneers on an incredible 30–0 undefeated season and punching their ticket to the Division II Regional Tournament.

Going undefeated takes consistency, toughness, and a team locked in every night — and East Bay has done just that. Now the mission continues in the postseason.

🏀 30–0 and still hungry.
