A lot of people know about my disability, the surgeries I’ve had and how I started walking in 2022. But there’s more to my life than that.

Everything I’ve been through has played a part in the person I am today, but it doesn’t define everything I want to be.

I’ve learnt that you can’t spend your whole life waiting for the right time or for things to fall into place. At some point, you’ve just gotta get out there, give things a go and make something of yourself.

That’s what I’m trying to do. I’m still figuring things out, still learning and still building. But I’ve got a lot I want to achieve, and I’m only getting started.

Looking back now, it’s crazy to think about how much has happened since then. At the time, I had no idea what the next few years would look like or where I’d end up.

There were times when it felt like everything else was moving while I was stuck trying to get through my own situation.

But you can’t put your whole life on pause waiting for everything to be perfect. There’s always going to be something to work through, something you want to improve or something you wish was different.

Eventually, you’ve just got to get on with it. You make the most of where you’re at, work with what you’ve got and keep trying to move forward.

I think sometimes we make things harder for ourselves by overthinking everything. We think about what we
