This Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander leaders in Southern California. 🇼🇸🇦🇸🇼🇸🇦🇸

🗣️CHEEEE-HOOOOO

We're proud to acknowledge our Samoan elders and rising stars—individuals who embody the spirit of the Samoan Islands through their dedication to culture, creativity, and community. As artists, educators, police officers, doctors, coaches, writers, or cultural keepers, they preserve and share Samoan heritage in various fields, from storytelling to the stage. 🩺🏈✍🏻💃🏾🎤🎶🚨👩🏽‍💼🧑‍💼🫂🥇

Nominated for their unwavering commitment, these leaders demonstrate how NHPI cultures remain a powerful source of strength and pride, regardless of distance from ancestral lands. For them, Samoan culture is a guiding force, shaping their journeys and inspiring others. Fa'afetai Tele Lava for your tireless efforts. You are the embodiment of Samoan identity and a testament to its resilience and vitality worldwide.

Check back next week for more community spotlights. Wishing everyone a joyful Pacific Islander Heritage Month! 🌊💙
