Happy Anniversary Nicole & James! 🤍 One year ago, we celebrated a beautiful love story at Bourgmont Winery, surrounded by the warmth of fall florals, the glow of candlelight, and a spectacular fireworks display to end the evening. But what makes this wedding even more special is the family behind it. This is the third family member who has trusted me to bring their wedding vision to life, and that is a gift I will never take for granted. There is something truly meaningful about being invited back into a family’s most treasured moments, celebrating new beginnings, and continuing a relationship that means so much. Some wedding days feel rooted in something deeper, and Anna and Kevin’s felt at home from the very beginning. Family history and tradition were woven throughout the weekend, right down to Anna’s something old: a remarkable piece of lace gifted to her family by Queen Victoria. Their wedding date carried its own special meaning too, falling on what would have been Anna’s late great grandmother’s 101st birthday. Her memory was lovingly honored at the reception, adding another generation to a celebration already so rich with family history. Kansas City Country Club was the perfect setting. With its timeless rooms and welcoming character, the evening felt less like a grand event and more like the most beautiful house party. A second line band welcomed Anna and Kevin into cocktail hour before leading everyone into dinner, setting an energy that carried straight through the night. Even the summer heat could not compete once Twice on Sunday took the stage. Some weddings are beautiful. Others are deeply personal. This one was both. 🤍 A celebration filled with little pieces of the people and stories that mean the most, honoring the bride’s beloved nickname, her grandmother’s bourbon secret, and a grandmother who would have celebrated her 101st birthday alongside us. Dancing under the stars, dining in a beautiful living room surrounded by family and friends, and celebrating a love story where every detail had meaning. 🤍 From the florals to the custom bars, no detail was left untouched. Every element was thoughtfully designed to feel uniquely theirs. And for me, this wedding held an extra special place in my heart.
