We saw a barred owl! Only saw one bigger alligator closer to the lake today. Beautiful day to be on the water. I love you, Louisiana.

Shit, that was a tough one. Just a little over 3.5 miles and the wind fought us in and out. I'm exhausted and didn't see any gators but we did see either an osprey or an eagle nest.

Only saw one little gator dude and a huge blue heron, (maybe Mothman?) Bayou Trepagnier was pretty sweet.

Just mamaw and papaw doing swamp stuff. Only saw one alligator and a great egret.

Saw a couple little gator dudes today! Lots of egrets and herons. Stopped by a 135 year old butcher shop. Oh, and we aborted a bunch of invasive apple snail eggs. Deer Bayou was gorgeous. Thibodaux is pretty cool.

Got some more time in nature today. Met a cottonmouth, a yellow crowned night heron, a gulf coast toad, and an anole. I love how button bush looks. Picked some elderberry (not pictured) too for some cough syrup!

River baptism. Wanted to wash the last few weeks away. Stuck our toes in the dirt. Only gators we saw today were in the smoked sausage. Had some little fishies biting my butt. Everything was sooo quiet and peaceful.

I haven't been posting our spooky stories that we started August 1st, but so far we've watched Tales from the Crypt, Obsession, Black Phone 2, Halloween H20 and now we're on to this. Please send me all your spooky suggestions. And of course, we'll be watching Scream, The Craft, and Beetlejuice. We're going to Spirit Halloween on Friday. 🖤🎃
