Portrait of Anna and Talita 🌺(2024)

I really wanted to capture that feeling of quiet confidence and connection. I had so much fun with the lighting, textures and those little pop-art stars and flowers in the background.

I noticed the world around me and the artists I so envied on social media for the opportunity they had to be able to cultivate their passion and spend time honing their skills when I felt as though I had to shove and grovel through a degree that was draining the creativity God had unearthed in me and it felt sad to see feel trapped all over again but I realised that I didnt feel like this a year ago
God did something great for me in 2024 He revealed a passion in me that I never thought I had , He showed me who I am and aligned so many things to work together, he gave me visions from the first scene to the last and gave me the eye to be able to execute it. It felt like I was on mount sinai and God gave me the commandments, tools, creativity I could make Him known with to His people.I wanted to reach hearts and I wanted to be able to display the way God makes me feel , invoke the feelings of peace that I have with the Lord be able to share this love or be able to catch a glimpse of it in my art.
This is what this is for to show the love of God be able to share His heart within me to others

So I wondered , why the creative industry is full of people that don’t necessarily point to God as their source of creativity but create in such a way that is figurative to the hands of the Most High, and I realised even though we may acknowledge it or not part in part of the way we create things is because we are God’s creation. We find ourselves mimicking and moving in the way that He does and I want to explore how that looks like for different people and look at biblical stories of the way people created
From Noah building the ark (Genesis 6)
Moses receiving instructions on how to build the tabernacle and the craftsman that created it (Exodus 25-26)
Solomon and building Gods temple (1 Kings 6)
The people that were carpenters or craftsmen that rebuilt the temple after the exile ( Ezra 3)
Davids psalms
Solomons proverbs
The literature of the bible
The Universe
The biblical authors
Jesus
