🌍🚶‍♂️ 500 MILES. 1 LEGEND. ONE VITAL MISSION. 🚶‍♂️🌍
This is James Martin @talk500miles , He’s walking an incredible 500 miles to raise vital funds for @movember_uk and, most importantly, get people talking about men’s health.
On Saturday, 17th October, his epic journey brings him through Exeter! He’ll be stopping off at The Stand Off (@thestandoffexe ) from 6:00 PM to grab some food, sink a drink, and speak to anyone and everyone about his journey, Movember, and his deeply personal ‘why’.
Whether you want to show your support, hear his inspiring story, or just say hello to an absolute Mo legend, we need you there! 🍻💬
💔 WHY JAMES IS WALKING 500 MILES:
James’s mission is deeply personal. Back in 2010, battling severe anxiety, depression, and bullying, James was on the brink of suicide. A chance phone call saved his life. Since being released from hospital, he has dedicated 15 years to fundraising and campaigning, determined to make sure no man ever feels that lonely or desperate again.
This walk is also in memory of fellow Movember Ambassador Marc Rowell, a true legend who lost his life to suicide 5 years ago. James is continuing Marc’s legacy to spread hope and save lives.
🫵 HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
📍 Show up: Head down to The Stand Off this Saturday from 6:00 PM and give James the massive Exeter welcome he deserves!
💙 Support: Donate to James’s 500-mile journey.
💬 Talk: Check in on a mate today, one conversation can change a life.
See you at The Stand Off! 👨🏻💪

One of my favourite days of the year. 🖤

@movember_uk Ambassadors Training Day.

There’s something pretty special about getting a room full of ambos together, catching up with old friends, meeting new faces and hearing all the plans, ideas and madness that are about to come our way over the next few months.

And somehow, here we are again…

Campaign number 18.
Ambassador year number 9.

18 years of growing, talking, fundraising, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying to make a difference to men’s health. And every year I think it can’t get any better… then Movember rolls around again. 🥸

This year I’ve set myself another target.

🎯 £20,000 raised.

But I’m not getting there on my own.

You lot have got me there every year. The donations, shares, messages, events, daft ideas and people who keep backing what I’m trying to do.

So… can we hit £20k?

And if we do…

Tattoo number 2. 🫣😂

I’ve clearly learnt absolutely nothing from the first one.

Bring on Movember 2026. 💪🥸🖤

“I’m glad you’re still here.” 💙

Those five words might mean nothing to some people. To others, they might mean everything.

Behind every statistic is someone’s son, brother, father, partner, uncle, nephew or best friend.

Every day, men around the world lose their lives to suicide.

Not because they were weak.
Not because they didn’t care.
Often because they felt they had nowhere to turn.

A conversation won’t fix everything.

But it might be the reason someone stays.

So today, check in on a bro and embrace the beautiful art of communication.

Send the message.
Make the call.
Ask the question.

“How are you really doing?”

If this post reaches one person who needs it, it’s worth sharing.

It all began with a 5am dip… 🥶

Come with me as we celebrate the very best of the best at the @movember 2026 awards. 🥸🏆

Last night I had the honour of attending an incredible evening celebrating the people who go above and beyond for men’s health. 💙

The winners, the stories, and the legends who dedicate so much of their time to raising awareness were truly inspiring. We all have our own reasons for doing what we do, and every single effort makes a difference.

Massive congratulations to everyone involved, and it was fantastic to catch up with friends old and new. 🙌
