When the party theme is 40’s… one dresses up like a litteral 40. What an incredible night of drag, lip syncing, runways and laughter.

Fish Canyon to Cienega Campground: this was a new hike for me, located north of Santa Clarita. The trail was hot but had numerous water crossings in ankle deep water. The trail follows an abandoned road leading to a now closed campground. Super gorgeous and quiet. Overgrown brush, bear sightings, and lots of bugs. If you make it out to this hike- help keep it undisturbed and clean. A new favorite.

Oak Springs Trail: one of my favorite quick hikes. Convenient and quiet. Beautiful and peaceful.

Rattlesnake Trail at Railroad Loop: quick 3.5 mile loop around the Railroad Museum on this beautiful day after a lovely brunch in Toluca Lake. Wildflowers are OUT and made for an even more beautiful hike. No snakes, just gorgeous views on this 70-something-degree day. Good luck with the snow everyone else.

Wisdom Tree/Cahuenga Peak: beautiful hike organized by @officialhikingvikings to Wisdom Tree and then over the ridge to the Hollywood Sign. I had never seen the view more clear than this day. You could see the hike I did the day prior (Echo Mtn) and all the way to the Ocean. Such a pleasent day. 1 snake, lots of great company, 1 adorable dog.

Dawn Mine, Sunset Trail, Exho Mtn Lodge: nearly an 11 mile hike on a gorgeous day. There was tons of people at the trailhead but then zero people deeper in the canyon before Dawn Mine. I hiked over to Echo Mtn Lodge and I was the only one over there which was very special. I am so thankful that Dawn Mine area was saved from the fires last year. So beautiful to see the green growth covering the burnt parts of the canyon on the other side. Some bugs, no snakes, I’m exhausted!

East Virgenes/Castle Peak, 3.5 Miles, Thanksgiving 2025: third week in a row at this park exploring how the two parks connect and their intertwined trails. Gorgeous day, saw a baby snake. Also go to try out my new @julbo_eyewear Fury sunglasses and this pair’s Reactiv lenses that transition from clear to smoke naturally depending on the sunlight are my new favorite outdoor accessory. This park always makes me so happy, even for quick pre-Thanksgiving-meal hike. 😌

East Virgenes, 6 miles: Seldom do I opt to do a hike x2 in a row but I wanted to see the contrast of a cloudy/rainy/muddy day vs. a beautiful sunny day. 1 week apart, roughly same time of day. Still gorgeous and it’s amazing to see all the fresh greenery that can pop up in just 7 days. Lots of birds no coyote. Saw my favorite tree and also a stunning overall view of neighboring (and often hiked) Castle Peak.

East Virgenes, 4.5 miles on a drizzly day. I don’t normally hike in the rain but I was feeling antsy and wanting to walk in the mud. Hiking through these beautiful hills with no one around on such a special day was thrilling. I hiked up to a small tree and took in the quiet and peaceful solitude these hills foster. Got to watch a coyote for a bit too.

Oakwood Memorial Park to Mattingly Trail: 5.5 miles, really beautiful park with lots of trails to explore. Perfect afternoon-evening hike with beautiful rock formations to view and crawl on. Such beautiful homes built next to parts of this park, such a tremendous view. Vegan Thai after for some of the best food I’ve ever had. I will be back to this park TJ explore more 😃
