What an incredible first night at @theotherartfair yesterday! I had some fabulous conversations (my voice is already hoarse) and several paintings found new homes. I feel so grateful that people feel a connection to my work, it’s truly a gift. My amazing son @youngelias1 and his fabulous partner @tallimarks worked so beautifully together to help me put up the booth, it’s a delight to witness. You guys are amazing!! Thank you so much my darlings!
So much to be thankful for!
Another 3 days to go. Come by and see me if you can, Booth 5, right by the entrance.
Have a beautiful day!

If you’re in midtown Manhattan, be sure to go check out my paintings in the lobby of @thebenjaminhotel. I was very emotional seeing them installed for the first time and I’m so grateful to @elliottkerman @youngelias1 and @tallimarks for coming and celebrating this wonderful emotional moment with me. #muchgratitude

My heart is full this morning. I had an incredible day putting up my show at @theotherartfair yesterday. My amazing son @youngelias1 and his fabulous delightful partner @tallimarks helped me. Without them I couldn’t have physically managed it alone, but their spirit and energy helped make what can be a stressful hectic day, a fun memorable one. You guys are amazing!! Thank you so much!
I had a fun first night, I talked with some lovely people and sold a few paintings. A lot to be grateful for, and it all started with finding a parking spot right by the entrance….had to be a lucky omen🤩

Perish In The Flood

By Mo Holmes

Directed by Calvin Atkinson

"Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That cannot fly."

Grateful to channel and invoke Langston and the Harlem Renaissance with this creative team and cast that immediately felt like family. So much divine specificity with the way things came together in this production. There was much whispering in our ears, saying "We were here, now tell our story." I have a book of Langston's poems that are three weeks late from the library because I'm not ready to say goodbye for now.
