Currently on exhibition in Rome at Rosso20sette arte contemporanea.
The (Street) Art of Peace is curated by Giorgio Silvestrelli: the exhibition includes 12 international of some of the most important names in the world of street art, from the historic American artists Swoon, Ron English and Shepard Fairey, to the first Afghan street artist Shamsia Hassani, well-known for her works on the walls of Kabul depicting Afghan women and their demand for freedom. There is also a artwork by Banksy describing the drama of Gaza; paintings on wood depicting the flags of peace by the South African street artist Faith XLVII; a work on canvas by the well-known German street artist Hera of Herakut, as well as a recent work realized on the street by the “faceless” Italian artist Laika, up to the Spanish Lula Goce, the Syrian Dina Saadi, Dot Dot Dot and the Danish Balstroem.

All the works in the exhibition are accompanied by a text about PEACE directly written by the artists.
PEACE from an abstract, intangible, utopian concept, becomes an image. And it is evident how much the images have a strong impact on us. At the same time, they warns us about how urgent and crucial it is for all of us TOGETHER to commit ourselves so that PEACE is a right for everyone.
