We are excited to share with you the incredible line up of speakers joining us at Chabad this semester!

RSVP and more info at chabadusc.com/speakers

Friday, August 21 - Welcome Shabbat.
Yosef Chaim Ohana was kidnapped from the Nova Festival and held captive for 738 days. Daniel Sharabi is Yosef's best friend - he survived Nova and helped rescue many people during the attack. Together they will speak about survival, faith, and friendship, and how they've channeled the tragedy into purpose in humanitarian work supporting survivors of terror.

Tuesday, Sept 1 - Falafel Fiesta
Ariel Saat and Eliyahu Green are IDF soldiers who were severely wounded in the line of duty. They will share their raw and personal stories.

Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Sasha Troufanov & Sapir Cohen were struggling with their relationship, when they were both taken hostage on Oct. 7. Through the months of hell that followed, their faith and resilience carried them through. After finally being released, they found their way back to one another stronger than before. Their extraordinary story - from unimaginable darkness to standing together under the chuppah - is a powerful expression of hope and the triumph of love.

Tuesday, Oct. 20
Sora Vigorito is one of the very few survivors of Josef Mengele's twin experiments at Auschwitz. Don't miss the incredible opportunity to hear her story first hand.

Friday, Oct. 30 - Trojan Family Shabbat
Bestselling author and renowned social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the forces shaping today's generation. He will share insights about how technology is an obstacle to flourishing in general, including spiritual development.

Saturday, Nov. 14 (after Mega Shabbat)
The son of Israel’s first astronaut, Ilan Ramon, and brother of Israeli Air Force pilot Asaf Ramon, Tal shares his family’s extraordinary legacy of courage, sacrifice, and hope. In a musical presentation incorporating personal stories of triumph and tragedy, he offers a deeply moving perspective on resilience and the enduring spirit of the Israeli people.

Thank you to our partners at the USC Dornsife Casden Insitute and the Jewish Community Foundation.

STS-3 Trailer! DREAMING BIG, JUST LIKE OUR DADS is out today June 3rd at 1:07 PM CST! In this third episode of @storiesthatservepodcast, I am joined by international special guest @talramon. Tal and I lost our fathers on the space shuttle Columbia on February 1, 2003, both at 12 years old. We lost them that day, but as we grew up, we found joy through the pain. We share how life has been since one of our hardest days and how we’ve found the good through faith, music, education, and art and learned from what we’ve walked through in hope to serve others through our stories.#storiesthatservepodcast #laurahusband #sandandstarsstudios #talramon
