The rain wasn’t a great start to last night’s Time Trial but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for a great event and, of course, it cleared nicely before we started!
A huge thanks from the ‘Front Desk’ as , for the first time ever, we had every number bib returned at the end and they’re back in order and ready to see you all in September!!🎉🎉

Congratulations to TRC on achieving charitable status in just 3 years from a standing start. It’s such a testament to all the hard work that’s been put in and, of course, Tahir’s vision, and last night was a wonderful celebration.
Here’s to even better things to come!🥂🥂

Sunday Strollers with Tooting Run Club – Day 1
I loved our walk today, what an incredible launch to our new Walk & Talk event—Sunday Strollers with Tooting Run Club!

We’re so grateful to everyone who booked, showed up, walked, talked, and truly embraced the spirit of the morning. It was such a warm, welcoming start, and seeing the group connect while moving together made it something really special.

Sunday Strollers is about more than just getting steps in—it’s built around the importance of both physical and mental well-being. At Tooting Run Club, it’s always been important to be inclusive and offer something for everyone in our local community. Whether you’re a regular runner with Tooting run club and love the idea of alternative exercise and a good chat along the way, just starting out on your keep fit journey or simply looking for nature, connection and fresh air, there’s space for you here.

Huge thank you to Kate for helping lead the way, and to Tahir for organising and bringing the day to life with such care and energy.

And of course, a round of applause for Amber the puppy, who completed her very first 5K—what a star!

We loved catching up over coffee and snacks afterwards, and we hope you did too. If you joined us today—thank you. And if you missed it, we’d love to see you at the next one!

This was just the beginning.

That was a very wet and muddy parkrun but nothing dampened the festive spirit!
All the runners managed to stay upright at the finish, with the exception of a certain RD (yes, me, who landed flat on his back and trying to get back up was in danger of becoming mud wrestling).
A lovely Christmas late breakfast at Joices with the TRC crew definitely helped, though everything, including me, is now in the wash!!🧺🎄🎄

Here’s to our friends who are always close by,
Through giggles, good times, and even a sigh.
The ones who stand by us, come rain or shine,
They brighten our days and make everything fine.

Today, we’re all here, such a joyful crowd,
To celebrate someone who makes us all proud.
My sister—so wise, fierce, and full of glee,
A shining star, just how she should be.

I’m thankful for each one of you today,
Let’s raise our glasses and let the good vibes play.
Life’s so much sweeter when shared with our crew,
With friends like family—and family like you.

So let’s laugh, eat cake, and make some noise,
Here’s to friendship, memories, and birthday joys!
