It just so happened that there are two people who, by some twist of fate, have played a very important part in my artistic life in the UK.

Meeting Edwina in 2022, in an empty gallery, with almost no English and no idea that my collages could actually be shown to anyone, still feels like fate and honestly deserves at least a short film of its own.

And the incredible Robert Lamoon curated my very first solo exhibition. He was also the person who said, “What if we added something authentic alongside the collages?” So I added five vytynankas…

I always feel such warmth whenever I see them both.

@oksa.na.art @talshade Thank you for finally making it over to see us🙏🏻

The exhibition is on for one more week till 27.09.
Come and see it ❤️

IDENTITY is a community promoting Ukrainian artists and culture in the UK. Starting from the first London exhibition in 2025 with 36 Ukrainian artists, our community is constantly growing and showcasing the artists living in the UK, Ukraine, and other countries. Dynamic changes in Ukraine and the lives of the artists create additional value to the deep stories and experiences they are willing to share. We are hoping these stories can make a positive impact on understanding current global processes, and more people will be inspired by the beauty of the abundant and distinctive Ukrainian culture.

Extraordinary 🌻Tatiana Talshade @talshade explores the idea of home as an inner refuge. Home is not only a physical place but also a state of the soul.

The girl, immersed in her own thoughts, creates around herself a space of silence and concentration that becomes her personal home. It is within these invisible boundaries of the inner world that a sense of safety and peace sometimes arises.

We love Tatiana’s portraits and will gladly share them with you!
