@chrimbus and his Gator Link (@ocarina_of_timeland) tattoo!! The incredible @talstattoos also made this happen! It’s always a huge, huge, HUGE honor seeing my work becoming tats 💚⚔️🐊

Quack quack! 🦆

My Fly Away Bag is finished!

It is by no means perfect, and it definitely wasn’t without its struggles… like my sewing machine deciding halfway through that it simply did not want to sew anymore. 😅 I found a workaround, but no, it is not actually fixed yet.

Overall though, I really love how this turned out. I’m especially happy with the strap, the quilted heart on the back, and the eye! It’s hard to tell in the photos, but the eye is outlined in silver. 😁

There’s definitely room for improvement, but I guess that just means I have to make another one! Probably in the exact same colours. I think I have enough fabric to make 3 or 4 more. lol

Oh, and the best part? It matches my tattoo!!

I’m finally doing it… the sewing machine is coming out.

I’ve been to my local fabric store, MSM Fabric & Quilting, gathered (most of) my supplies, and it’s officially bag time. Duck bag? Duck bag.

@_madmakes is hosting a sew-along for the Fly Away Bag. I’m not entirely sure what week they’re on, but my pieces are cut, mostly, and I’m jumping in.

And because I can never leave well enough alone, I’m going to attempt some quilting and seam details to match my tattoo. You know I love a good matchy-matchy moment.

Wish me luck… and patience. 🪡
