POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I think this image is so deep and rich with metaphor and also cute but it’s also great promo for my song Romantic Comedy Coming of Age Film. Because one of the lines is ‘never been into thrillers’ and I think it’s funny because the photo is of me hugging a scary horror thriller sort of guy but it’s smiley and nice so it’s sort of ironic it’s like what every girl wants, to tame the scary emotionally unavailable bad boy into a nice smiling hugging pic. Does that make any sense? Anyway if this was my personal account I would just caption this ‘me and my boyfriend at the Haunted Hayride’ but on here I have to promote my song which is flopping on streaming but getting numbers since I started kissing the ass of meta by posting Reels isn’t it so silly how these little videos are so important considering what’s going on in the world So anyway haha ummmm. Yeah Halloween in America goes crazy

Literally the entire iPhone camera roll from a week at confest…
++ about 400gb of 4k footage on my SD cards 🫣 the most beautifully candid & consensual footage ever filmed at this site, if I do say so myself

Note, this is not a place to have cameras out everywhere. It’s usually discouraged so people can be themselves without worry of being recorded. I painstakingly had hundreds of convos to ensure everyone I captured consented to being in the 50th anniversary documentary film I’m creating

It feels like the most meaningful project I’ve ever embarked on… aight but this edit may take me a few months, so will post updates along the way as I chip at it:)

This film will help people understand what confest is all about.. at least a little bit more.

Took me 28 years to become obsessed with Lou reed’s line ‘standing on the corner / suitcase in my hand / jack is in his corset Janey’s in her vest/ and me I’m in a rock n roll band’. These are pics from a magical evening in Castlemaine with @cousintonysbrandnewfirebird. And some pics of the crowd at @bushmusicfest. And some from @townfolkfest too taken by my new bestie @_shutupwesley. And a photo that a lady at the show in Geelong insisted on taking of me with the set times. And my ‘Geelong friendly’ gig outfit. And a selfie from the queer basketball tournament I played in with Holly the day after. And the pretty lights as Lachie drove me home. And a selfie I took while peeing in a gutter in Moonee Ponds. Wow I love music and I love friends and I love summer 💖 anyone wanna play some gigs together soon?

Melbourne indie darling Tamara & the Dreams returns with her sharpest and most tender release yet, “Fleetwood Mac”, out today. A mascara-stained queer country rock banger about dating your bandmate, Tamara’s signature hilarious lyrical wit and emotional vigour is given rein on an homage to the classics.
With a title that instantly nods to one of rock’s most famously entangled bands, “Fleetwood Mac” is a true story, a dream of a quaint rock star life with a happy ending.

‘This song is about getting my heart pulverised musically and emotionally”, she says, “but really it’s about how much playing in a band and being part of a music community has shaped my life, my friendships, my hopes and dreams. ‘

In true Tamara & the Dreams fashion, the track is both biting and beautiful – equal parts satire and sincerity, heartbreak and hope.

My first proper music video with hair and lights and backdrops !!!! On YouTube now!!!

Produced by @dean_tuza
Music playing by a whole bunch of people that I’ll mention in a separate post but listen out for some familiar voices ….

Directed by @bridgettewinten and me!!

Women they will come and they will go …… wrote a song called Fleetwood Mac about feeling like my life was Fleetwood Mac. After extensive copyright battles it’s finally out this Wednesday. ‘You could disappoint me, give me a heart attack / We could be in love just like Fleetwood Mac’. Been kicking this one around for a while. So excited for you all to hear it, and my first proper music video too 🎸🎸🎸🌟🌟🌟

Of course pictures by @bridgettewinten n glam by @cherrygarcon xoxo
