One decision should never define a child’s entire future. 🤍

Watching my cousin be honored was special. Hearing her speak about giving children a chance was everything. She sees the child behind every case—a young person still growing, still developing, and deserving of someone who believes in their future.

Then came the love, the laughter, and the reminder that it takes a village. 🫶🏽 She acknowledged her mom, shouted me out, and you can hear me behind the camera: “I’m right here!” 😂❤️

And that’s exactly where I’ll always be, cousin. Right here, cheering you on.

So proud of your heart, your purpose, and the way you show up for children who need a voice. This was your moment, and I’m grateful I got to witness it. ✨🥂

Between us both we have 57 years of experience in the television news industry!

We’ve been the best of friends the entire time. ❤️

20 years ago we were tested professionally and personally, but we made it through together.

And we still work together, matter of fact, beside each other just like we worked beside each other on this day in 2005!

We met in college and have been making memories ever since. 🎥 📺

Here’s an account of our memories from riding out Hurricane Katrina together…❤️❤️ @twash1872 @tamararhinton
