A healing adventure turned into a stewardship journey. 4 days circumnavigating Lake Tahoe to remove trash from the shorelines with @cleanupthelake and @quinnnpossible

🎬 Do you have a story from Alaska’s mountains that deserves to be seen?

Northern Aspects Film Festival is now accepting submissions for our 2026 season. Films are due October 15!

We’re looking for a wide variety of films—from first-time and amateur filmmakers to polished professional productions. More than anything, we’re looking for good stories and the diversity of Alaska’s mountain experience. Not necessary to be filmed in last year, don’t let 2025’s tricky conditions hold you back.

You don’t need to be a professional filmmaker to submit. A unique perspective, a good story, and the passion behind it matter more than having a big production budget.

🎥 Films up to 10 minutes
✨ Newer filmmaker? We recommend keeping it under 5 minutes
🏔️ Stories from all across Alaska
🏆 Cash prizes for Audience Choice + Judges’ Choice
🌎 Selected films will be screened across Alaska and beyond

There are incredible stories happening in Alaska’s mountains every day—and some of them probably haven’t been made into films yet.

Maybe yours is one of them. Alaska ski and ride culture.

Submissions due October 15, 2026.

A little snowmachine approach followed by a bootpack ⬆️ and then ski ⬇️ this past winter. Really humbling navigating between these walls of ancient volcanic rock and millions of years of preserved history. Man, if these walls could talk…

Okay so hear me out…there’s about 3 months until the start of ski season and I can’t wait. Looking forward to colder temps…it’s been a hot one this summer !

From one of the earlier days in Valdez this past spring where we were exploring some new to us terrain with a real fun crew 🫶🏽

With only a few hours to spare, we anchored the rafts and sprinted 6 miles up an outlet deep in Grand Canyon. Wigs, party shirts, and multiple puffy lays under our drysuits. It felt like running in a personal sauna 🥵, but those few seconds of flying off the cliffs into that crystal-blue water made every sweaty step worth it.💙🙌

Thanks for leaping with me @tamirazinger
