Every year we have a Dollies Making A Difference Holiday Party, where we celebrate our good work. Each year the board announces The Dollie Lady of the Year award, given to the lady who best exemplifies our motto “To Give is to Receive”. This year’s award was given to Carolyn McGraw, who has created almost 50 beautiful crib quilts which we auction off to raise money for our DMAD financial grants. Upon accepting the award, we asked Carolyn 3 questions:
“Who was your biggest creative influence?” and she said “My mother, who taught me the joy of needlework”. Next we asked, “Is it true that you and your husband walk many miles a day twice a day in your neighborhood?” and she said “Yes! And we never run out of things to talk about!” Finally, we asked Carolyn, “If you could get on a plane today and go anywhere in the world, where would you go?” and without a beat she said “I love exactly where I am” ❤️#dolliesmakingadifference
