On Mr. Robot, I felt ready for a long speech, then struggled to get it all in one take. What I figured out afterward changed how I learn every script. Watch the full video by clicking the link in my bio.

I didn’t start acting until I was 29. Today, after more than 40 years, I’ve booked nearly 1,300 jobs. And John Mahoney, the dad on Frasier, didn’t take his first acting class until he was 37.

If you’re in your 40’s 50’s or older and wondering whether you missed your chance, you didn’t. There’s real work out there for people your age, like training films, standardized patient work, extra work and commercial modeling, and most people have never heard of half of it.

In the full video, I share the formula I used to succeed and why starting later can actually give you an advantage. 👉 Click the link in my bio to watch.

Day 4 of Half Life Eternity wrapped this past Saturday. This isn’t the end though. After the editing and final touches, this proof of concept will go to the studios where it will hopefully be picked up.

This pilot is more than just a job for each of us. This weekend, we showed up and poured our hearts and souls into this project. Every one of us was on set because of the deep love we have for the arts and story telling.

Till the release of the show, we would love your support on YouTube and Instagram. Follow @levimacteare @andthedragonstudios to stay up to date with our progress.

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone on set. You all are amazing. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Also, one last shout out, thank you @ryanlittle_director for your kind words of encouragement. Your an inspiration to the independent film community and those looking for direction as we start in this great adventure that is story telling.

I auditioned for House of Cards 14 times and didn’t book it once. On the 15th, I booked a recurring role and ended up on set with Robin Wright, Ellen Burstyn and Neve Campbell.

The reason the casting director kept bringing me back is the opposite of what most actors assume. And one question I asked before that last audition changed how I read the scene and made it much stronger.

To watch the full story click the link in my bio.

Have you ever auditioned several times for the same casting director and then booked the job?

Or did it lead to something else that was helpful to you?

Tell me in the comments. I read and respond to every comment.
