We recently had the privilege of hosting the Texas A&M ASLA Student Chapter for a conversation around landscape architecture, construction, and design.

From early concepts to final construction, we shared what the profession truly looks like, both the challenges and the rewards- offering insight into the discipline, responsibility, and collaboration required to bring meaningful outdoor environments to life.

Encouraging the next generation of landscape architects and investing in the future of this industry is something we value deeply. It was inspiring to see their curiosity and enthusiasm, and a meaningful reminder of what first drew us to this work.

Had a great time last week leading a sketch workshop with the students of Texas A&M University (@tamulaup @tamuasla @tamunamla @tamuarchcollege) ☺️

Big thanks to two of our @edsaplan summer interns from last year, Alina & Jack, for reaching out and coordinating everything! I had a fun time live-streaming a quick crash course and a sketch of Aggie Park (@ojbla) a familiar scene for the students.

Creativity in motion ✏️🌳

Last Friday, our team joined students for Aggie Workshop put on by @tamuasla and had the opportunity to participate in a design charrette. Watching ideas unfold in real time and seeing students collaborate, problem solve, and push creative boundaries was incredibly energizing!

There is something special about a room full of designers thinking together. Thank you to @tamulaup for allowing us to be part of such an inspiring day.

Back in Aggieland 👍

We loved being back at the @tamulaup Career Fair in College Station and connecting with so many talented students. The conversations at our booth were thoughtful, engaging, and genuinely meaningful, which is exactly why we look forward to this event each year.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share your goals, your curiosity, and your passion for landscape architecture. The future of our profession is in good hands.

Where wellness meets watershed.

Set on 210 acres in the Texas Hill Country, The Crossings is a wellness destination rooted in preservation. OJB’s landscape design limits impervious paving to protect the Edwards Aquifer, harvests rainwater and effluent for irrigation, and prioritizes native, drought-tolerant plantings.

At destinations like The Crossings, landscape architecture is more than aesthetic—it’s fundamental to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and guest wellbeing. When land and design work in harmony, hotels and resorts become more than places to stay—they become places that restore.

Discover how thoughtful landscape design can transform hospitality experiences.

A glimpse into the design process at Aggie Workshop 2025🖊️📐

Here we capture the evolution of our design charette—from initial site analysis to final concept. Step by step, ideas take shape through sketching, layering, and collaboration of our team alongside Texas A&M students.

Sketching is more than just lines on trace—it’s how we think, test ideas, and bring clarity to complexity. It’s where every great design begins.
