This weekend was worth downloading Instagram back on my phone.

@epicmovement Lonestar Epic Fall Retreat. Nearly 500 students, staff and volunteers gathered in Gidding, TX from at least five campuses!

Celebrating new life. SEVENTEEN college students put their trust in Jesus this weekend 🥹.

Loved traveling with my daughter. She is wonderful company in the midst of long airport delays due to weather.

Unforgettable weekend. Amazing students, volunteers and staff. The future is bright.

Last summer, I wrote down earnestly in my journal a prayer. I asked for a good community in college. I asked that God would reveal people to me who had the same passions. Same goals. Same aspirations as I had. I prayed for brothers and sisters in Christ that would turn me into a better person. I wished to be pushed to become someone my younger self would be proud of.

I guess this is what people mean when they say God answers prayers.

To be honest, this year could have gone drastically differently. It amazes me how one single decision can be the sole catalyst of completely altering one’s story. And for some reason — some way and somehow, the decisions I made led me here. And yes, although I didn’t always make the best choices. Although I messed up plenty of times. God turned all of those into good.

I am so thankful for this year and the people i’ve met. Truly, even if we merely exchanged hellos from time to time, or if you were someone I spent the majority of this first year of college journey with, each interaction has slowly shaped my perspective on viewing life from a whole new lens.

It’s incredible how I’ve changed more in these 9 months than my entire near-twenty years on this earth. And I could have only changed because of the people I met. Because of centering my life around God. I now have a zeal to live. A passion to create. A dying flame that was reignited through pursuing Gods will for me, as well as pursuing the friendships God so graciously placed in my life. And so, I just wanna say THANK YOU GUYS MWAH MWAH MWAH WE DID IT BAHSJWKISJWKOEJDKS’ajdik!&&/$$7;&2&jdjsjYAYYAYYAY
