All jokes aside…

I am beyond blessed. I have a community of people around me that truly spoil me and I am forever grateful for the life I live.

I say this knowing well that I’ve lived a hard life. But all the great things that I’ve experienced is what I like to focus on because on the days it’s tough it’s my reminder that I truly have a beautiful life.

I am so thankful for the people who have stuck by me through it all and who have loved me hard.

Wednesday was my birthday. In the past, I would have made plans weeks in advance and invited everyone.

This year my girlfriend @samantha_1125 was on my case up until the day before and was like “no, we are doing dinner, choose a place!?”

And I was pretty shocked that so many of my people were able to come through to Boston last minute on a work night to celebrate me. 🥹🥹

My girlfriends really make it difficult for me to accept bread crumbs from any man 🤣

Usually, I'm a woman of many words but I can't find them right now to describe what I experienced this past weekend. I'm forever grateful to @forthebreastofus for the space they've created. I'm going into my 6th year of being a cancer patient and advocate. FTBOU is where I found my footing and first shared my story. They feel like home. Being surrounded by other women of color who've been affected by cancer and showing up as my fullest self is a luxury they've given me. I breathed easy. I loved hanging with my girls, making new friends and sharing resources. I learned so much and felt so seen and supported! I patient-advocated hard and partied harder 🤣😎
Congrats on a phenomenal, game changing inaugural conference, baddies!

What an incredible experience! I want to emphasize how proud I am to be a baddie ambassador. This organization genuinely cares about giving back to its community.

A huge thank you to @marissadt28 and the team at @forthebreastofus for creating a space where we could truly be ourselves.

Throughout the event, I felt a strong sense of belonging, which to be honest can be quite challenging for me in large group setting.

As a person of color, I find it hard at times to present my authentic self in groups due to my own fear of judgment or misunderstanding.

I felt seen and heard all weekend long; it was everything I could have hoped for and more.

Being surrounded by people who truly get it and get you is everything.

Also getting a chance to be a panelist for the sex and intimacy discussion during Baddie Behavior After Dark and the opportunity to have @lion_ess_retreat as an exhibitor was beyond amazing

Thank you for given me the chance to use my voice and platform to uplift others in the community, and to remind them to prioritize themselves and their needs above all else.
