Yesterday’s sandwich-making event was all about community, compassion, and coming together to make a difference! Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers for helping us #FeedTheCity, to our generous financial donors and for the 67 snack packs donated! We were able to distribute sandwiches, snacks and supplies to Shalome Zone, Monday Night Outreach & East Nashville Care Market!!

Sometimes making a difference starts with a simple question:

“What can we do?”

More than 11,000 meals later, I’m reminded of what can happen when people choose to step up and say yes.

Tonight’s recognition from 5 Loaves means a lot, but this award belongs to the people who showed up and made it happen.

Blaine Malcolm. Erin Pietrasik. Ken Pietrasik. Our incredible volunteers. And the entire 5 Loaves team.

Thank you for seeing a need and doing something about it.

Never underestimate what can happen when a group of people decides:

Yes. We can help.

October is bringing connection, creativity, community, and a little bit of fall fun! 🍂

We’ve got three different ways to spend time with the C+C community this month, so here’s what’s happening:

—

✨ Pretty Walks + Power Talks: Breast Cancer Awareness Edition — October 24th

We’re walking in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!💗

Join us as we come together to celebrate strength + resilience while showing our support for the women whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.

And of course, we’re thinking pink! Come dressed in your favorite shade of pink and walk with us. 🎀

—

✨ Candle Workshop + Pasta Night — October 15th

We’re getting cozy for an intimate fall evening in partnership with @candlelitexperience and @littleromeplano 🍝

We’ll be making our own candles, enjoying a pasta experience, and spending the evening connecting over good food in a candlelit setting.

—

✨ Feed The City Volun-TOUR Stop — October 10th

We’re partnering with @here_dallas for another Volun-TOUR stop, this time with @tangocharities for @feed.the.city!

We’ll spend two hours coming together with other volunteers to make sandwiches, pack lunch sacks, and prepare meals for people in need throughout our community.

Wear orange if you’d like to show your support 🧡

—

Whether you’re looking to get outside, try something new, connect with other women, or simply spend some time in community, we’ve got a little something for you this month.

Which October event are you coming to? 👀

One incredible morning.

Fall has begun 🍂 and team @texasintlpageant had the perfect kickoff with @tangocharities at Feed the Country this weekend 💜 Together, we made more than 600 meals to distribute to the Fort Worth community!

While my little helpers (Archie and Hart) may not have been much help, I’m grateful they can join me and the Texas Intl family to learn the importance of supporting your community in areas of need.
