Proof of a summer well lived

The beginning of summer included moving into a house in Boise, and my brother Travis deciding to live here as well (roomies)

Every chance we got we ran away to Stanley to spend time in the mountains (I really miss living in a mountain town)

I giggled a lot with my besties

Flew to Wisconsin/Illinois to watch a childhood friend get married, and spent some quality time with the hometown homies

Celebrated a decade of Cedar doing what she loves most

Tanner got the best cake for his birthday (deviled eggs)

All in all it was a hot, Smokey, summer. But also felt like a summer I had when I was a teenager, which is all you can hope for tbh

Thinking I’m going to start posting more and doing vlogs again - stay tuned

Double digits for this little girl this year 🎂

A few weeks back we celebrated Cedar’s 10th birthday 🎉 and as bittersweet as it is to have your best friend be an old lady, I feel incredibly grateful I have gotten to spend 10 years with her 🐾💕

It is not lost on my that many people lose their little besties way too early, I am one of the lucky ones who has gotten this much time with her

She is still just as spunky as ever, demands to play fetch daily, will go to a party and force everyone to play with her, gets in the trash on occasion, and can have a serious attitude problem 🙄

But she is also still the sweetest, smiles (yes literally smiles) when I come home or she gets to see one of her friends, and brings immense joy to so many lives 🥰

I feel so lucky to have a dog that nearly everyone I meet falls instantly in love with 💗

Happy birthday Cedar, cheers to many more years spent loving life together

My wake up call is Cedar crying to sit outside 🐶

90% of the time Tanner is up early catching good light

Which means I get coffee brought to me while I’m still in my sleeping bag ⛺️

How lucky am I to wake up with these two as my view 😍

Looking back on one of the most memorable road trips I’ve ever taken up through the Pacific Northwest with the best crew. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve all come in the time since with how much we covered on this trip. From central Oregon to the coast and all the way up to the Olympic Peninsula, this was a summer of adventure that I’ll never forget.
