After frequently repeated short lived moments of dune bashing and desert exploring that let the adrenaline flow vigorously, eventually, an extraordinary view came into sight from atop a dune. 'Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea!'
This is a sea inlet of the Persian Gulf that straddles the border between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. This particular ecological zone has also been recognised by UNESCO as a natural reserve with a rare ecosystem.

The pics were taken when the sun was preparing to set over Saudi Arabia across the water. The hauntingly beautiful Inland Sea of Khor Al Adaid is not a place where the vast desert area just meets. It surrounds it.

The humongous 'Dara Singh Thali.' This is considered the biggest thali in Mumbai and if a single person can consume the entire thing all alone including the desserts and beverages, it will be free.
I wonder how Dara Singh used to have this all alone because it took 5 of us to finish it and was yet so full that I felt my stomach would explode. I could hardly breathe, I swear.
But, it was a totally new experience relishing each delectable bits of the thali.
This is a must try for people with bigger appetites and those who are food connoisseurs and epicures.
A bunch of thanks to Tanushree Mashi and Abhijit Mesho for this stupendous surprise. Really loved it.
