From the very beginning, the one thing we were always sure of was that with every collection we will present something different. This is one of the greatest blessings of working with artists. Every artist brings a unique perspective to the brand and our silhouettes follow suit. Our collaboration with @tanyatimble was no different. Looking at the year of the Tiger, we knew that if we were going to look at artwork featuring a fierce tigress, the silhouettes had to be grand, dramatic and definitely make a statement to do justice to Tanya's work. We've worked so hard on this one, and it gives us IMMENSE joy to present the Summer Siesta print - drawn by Tanya Timble - to kick off SS22 for us. Presenting our next artist of the "Feels like home" collection: Tanya Timble (@tanyatimble). She is a self-taught illustrator from Jaipur. Her art is influenced by the rich cultures and traditions the city has to offer. We interviewed her on her definition of home and her connection to her illustration 'Homeland'. "Having shifted multiple houses in very short periods of time, I am generally very good at making a space into a home. Home to me is not just a physical location, it’s where I can be myself and find peace and comfort. It’s a place where I always found warmth, love and affection and I also in general like to create an atmosphere where people feel welcome and at ease. I’d imagine a quaint small house, filled with just basic necessities to call a space a house but full of warmth, love and affection for the two young wonderful souls in my illustration. I’d want them to be across the backdrop of a beautiful sunset, and playing with tires with other kids in the vicinity, I imagine a space with frivolous laughter and innocence, away from the races of the cities and I think it’d be a beautiful home."
