Echo park rising. I love this guitar and my buddy Nathan and his flugelhorn. Everything feels like music lately. The rise in fascism makes me want to sing and play and paint more than ever. I think artists have the most important job on earth right now.

Thank you @pettigrewphoto for the stunning photos. It’s genius how you captured time elapsing like how a song elapses.

And ily @freshsoundsla and @casssflower for creating these moments and bringing together artist communities. Love is in the air.

The homie Nathan Tao stopped in to toot horn. This tune is a new work in progress inspired by Wayne Shorter styled non-functional harmony - ‘Shorter Than What?’

#2016❤️ happens to be the year we released our last full-length record.

We assembled a "Mega-Dogcatcher" for two album release shows for our self-titled album. This photo is backstage at the @artboutiki before the San Jose show.

We had the usual ding-dongs across the top, and were joined by Jacob and Nathan on trumpets, Jansen on keys, and Joey on percussion.

Colin (on guitar) left for LA shortly after the album release, and we were lucky to get @geoffreyonguitar to fill the void.

After the album release shows, Joey was like "Hey, that was fun. Can I do more?" and he's been in the band ever since.

Haven't been in touch with Jacob and Nathan, but we wish them well wherever they're at.

We have worked with Jansen again recently, for some keyboard-related shenanigans...
