Werk: Jörg Madlener, Mahler Fishleintal, 1981, 200 x 160 cm

L’air de rien

Latest work by Luc Dondeyne:
L’air de rien, 2025, 140 x 100 cm

“Depicting his memories of the summer months of his youth in visions with haunting prose: “Under our soft steps the squares of the paving stones slowly filed past-some the pale pink of human skin, some golden, some blue-grey, all flat, warm and velvety in the sun, like sundials, trodden to the point of obliteration, into blessed nothingness.”
- Luc Dondeyne, “It’s Not Me”, 2024

A Particular Journey

Latest work by Luc Dondeyne:
A Particular Journey, 2026, 60 x 120
cm

“Each brushstroke promises expression and meaning, and this interaction gives us hope: the pictorial can therefore also be a reflection that can alternate with the underlying idea, culminating in the gaze of one boy for another.”
- Luc Dondeyne, “It’s Not Me”, 2024

Shadow Theater

Latest work by Luc Dondeyne:
Shadow Theater, 2026, 70 x 90 cm

“The colours are nostalgic and Mediterranean in their totality, but the fluid lines and compositional configuration make them seem to float, caught between dream and reality.”
- Luc Dondeyne, “It’s Not Me”, 2024

Safely arrived from Belgium: A Deposition by @danielbellon.artistpage

Stunning in person and full of tension between substance and absence, weight and void. Thrilled to finally give this piece a home on the wall.
