HOW HIGH? Official Film Clip OUT NOW- check bio for link 👉📸 Makeshift One: I filmed this video on my phone after hours in one of West Ends most iconic creative hubs and coffee shops, Lonelys.
Anyone who gets around the Brisbane arts scene knows this place all too well. It has housed many great artists works, poetry nights, scribble slams, late night shenanigans, freestyle jams and even the odd rave.
The day of recording this clip I was due to meet up with Jordache Gage, a prolific Brisbane graffiti writer, the other character in this video and one of my closest brothers. The plan was to drift around South Brisbane and find a few locations to film..
Lonely’s was closed, I was sitting in my car out front waiting for Dache when the owner ‘Aaron Ryder’ and a few of the local riff riff turned up. It soon turned into day drinks, the lads started cooking lunch in the kitchen and the music got louder and louder.
Dache finally arrived and we decided to just try and cut the clip there as the vibes were too good to bail on. I immediately started running around the venue setting up my phone and scouting for shots. I was like a kid in a candy shop. Determined to pull off the dodgiest, dopest clip I could. I ran upstairs and saw the pool table. I turned to Aaron and said “Bro, can I climb on the table?”. To which he replied “I don’t give a fuck man, do whatever you gotta do. I don’t care if it breaks”. Thank you aaron, Blue and all the Lonely’s crew for creating such a safe and welcoming place for us artist weirdos to feel at home, share our art, have a cuppa or sit there being antisocial with headphones on clicking away at keys on our laptops.

Filmed on a phone, edited on a phone with a tasty VX1000 effect chucked over the top to make it look extra 90’s trash (we are washed up skate rats after all).Filmed/ Edited: Makeshift One

@lonelysbar is closing down tomorrow 😞 a huge loss for the Brisbane arts community!! In celebration of the times we all had there I’m dropping a film clip for ‘How High?’ that was filmed just two weeks ago in that very joint. Would be rad if you get a chance to check it out 😊 ❤️ beat by @tapeflipped #hiphop #rap #boombap #lonelysbar #90svintage #skatevideo #producer #brisbanemusic #art #film #vx1000 #trash
