Congrats to @johnnyniccotapia and @johnny_jlt on their Professional wins last night at Burque Brawl!

After their fights in multiple interviews they were asked about their late father, five-time World Champion Johnny Tapia, this is what the brothers had to say.

“It means everything to me, you know, walking out my dad was with me. I asked him to walk me out, you know. He’s here in spirit, he’s right here. You know I am carrying the name, the Tapia name, me and my brother.” - Nicco Tapia

“We got our dad watching over us every step of the way, and with him watching over us, Me and Nicco, together we are going to be unstoppable.” - Johnny Tapia Jr.

The celebrated Tapia brothers remain dedicated to upholding the legacy of their late father Johnny Tapia.

And with New Mexico standing with them, we are ready to watch them win continuously just like their father.

What is Tapia Boxing Academy?

Tapia Boxing Academy is more than a gym—it’s a safe haven for our community. We open our doors to everyone, from those facing struggles to individuals with ambition, as well as parents and youth, all united by a common goal of growth and support.

At Tapia Boxing Academy, we teach essential skills that go beyond the ring. Our training instills discipline, teamwork, and mental resilience, empowering our youth to make positive decisions both inside and outside the gym.

Above all, Tapia Boxing Academy carries on the legacy of our local legend, Johnny “Mi Vida Loca” Tapia. His passion for helping and uplifting the community he cherished lives on in our mission.

We invite everyone in Albuquerque to experience our gym and become a part of the Tapia family. Together, we continue the journey of strength, dedication, and love for our community.
