What a beautiful day celebrating, pouring into, and giving flowers to the women who deserve them most. 🌸✨

Give Her Flowers was filled with love, connection, creativity, and unforgettable moments. From inspiring conversations to beautiful blooms, every detail reminded us of the importance of honoring women while they can still receive their flowers.

Thank you to every guest, sponsor, vendor, and supporter who helped bring this vision to life. Your presence, encouragement, and energy made this event truly special. We laughed, created, connected, and left inspired.

This was more than an event — it was an experience, a reminder, and a celebration of community, softness, growth, and gratitude. 💐

Until next time… keep giving flowers, keep showing love, and keep blooming. ✨

Last week I was blessed with the opportunity to teach a 2-hour writing class at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Denver Public Library on behalf of @lighthousewriters 💓

The Hard Times Writer’s Workshop is a drop in class for anyone experiencing hardships to offer them a creative outlet. While the participants and I come from such different experiences, the universal truths of the human experience always shine bright through storytelling.

On the platform gifted to me I was able to bring in other creations from people in my own life who I respect, admire, & believe everyone should experience. @elisabetvelasquezpoetry writing moved the group in hard hitting ways. @tapintosomegood by @kiaracholt found divine alignment for writers who had to pull a card and write a story the echoed the affirmations.

It was such a healing session for me that felt like a close of a chapter, especially considering the amount of hardships I’ve endured since being laid off from my full time job back in October 2023. Was I moving back to safety in NY? Was I randomly going to find community in Denver that could hold me down the way I know my people would back home? What place does my story magic have in the Rockies? I was left with little space to find refuge. Still my beloved family and community held me as I turned to my storytelling to soothe me and it was a strong affirmation that to be of service to others is a gift since one day, you may be the one in need of service.

In the midst of life’s hard hitting realities when money isn’t in peak abundance, surrender is a necessary part of opening new doors. I surrendered my logic behind my hustle and accepted that chasing money was going to make me bend in ways that no longer resonate with me. In that surrender, Lighthouse presented itself as an opportunity to share my true purpose with this city which I love+ desire to continue living in. Tomorrow, I begin my 4-week course to help writers explore what it means to write the truth and honor the identities within those truths. What a gift for me to curate experiences for others to learn and grow! (Zoom/in-person, link in bio if interested)

Thank you God, always. ❤️‍🔥

One of my proudest offerings is the Rebirth Retreat, co-created with @readingsbyvida of @thealmightypineapplellc 🍍⚡️

In this space I am able to dive deep into several areas of my expertise and watch the fruits of our labor in real time; it’s a gift to remain present in the transformation we catalyze on these trips.

Many people don’t know this offering was born from a moment in which my keen eye for community and connection saw a need AND the person who was meant to deliver. I said “You should host a retreat, Vida.” She quickly held me accountable naming the challenges to get it off the ground and I immediately offered my support. What started as an intense spiritual “pela” 🩴, has now grown into a fertile ground for those who truly want to grow and unlock their inner magic. Sometimes all it takes is some distance from your routine, intentional reflection, and community to hold you lovingly + accountably.

This was our 3rd retreat, first international, and as the number 3 promises, it opened many doors even we didn’t know were possible for how we can hold space and offer radical pathways for change. I run operations for the retreat and facilitate writing workshops that force you to “say it with your chest” and apply my method of the 3 A’s;awareness, accountability, and activation. It’s this very method I use in all of my consulting sessions. If you think running a business, activating your creativity, or serving a community doesn’t require this method then I humbly question the integrity of the work. And these retreats? Some of the most impactful work I’ve done. We are healing and saving lives, LITERALLY.

These testimonials are just a glimpse. Some of the deeper feedback is too sacred to share on social out of privacy but as Patti sang “if only you knew…”

@readingsbyvida thank you for trusting me with your business from the retreat and beyond. It’s an honor to elevate your power and change lives one session at a time.

Stay tuned for the next retreat as well as @thealmightypineapplellc awesome offerings. And as always, if you think I can help you in any way, the books are open, let’s chat. Link in bio.

Tap tap tap with me.

Tapping is a therapeutic treatment for depression, anxiety, reducing stress, and other mental health issues… all those 3D words. When in fact it just stops you and refocuses your energy to the NOW.

You can develop a simple daily tapping routine to use whenever you need to pause and focus on the now and stop worrying about the past and/or the future.
