URGENT: Seeking Venue for Fundraiser!

Dear Community,

We have a fundraiser set on Aug 26th, which will be a drag show and dance party to support Blasian March and our upcoming book fair in Cleveland, OH, but the venue just slapped us with a $5,000 drink sale requirement and won’t let us work with the Blasian queer DJ we contracted.

We would like other options! If anyone has connects with a venue in NYC / might be willing to host, we’d greatly appreciate it!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as a new board member of @tarabnycorg — alongside an incredible team of people. It has been so healing to work with others committed to practicing radical care, restorative justice and love as a political praxis🫶🏽✨🌈

it’s surreal to reflect on how a year ago, I was not comfortable putting the word “queer” anywhere near my name in a public way. Those of us holding queer SWANA identity are often navigating so many hidden complexities and challenges around existing as ourselves—which made it even more powerful to show up with joyful assertion that we not only exist, but that we belong.
