Becoming a mum only made me more certain of that. Hi, I’m Tara, the founder and designer behind TJ Swim, and this is what continues to guide every piece we create 🤍

10 years ago TJ SWIM began with a 21-year-old girl who just had a feeling she wanted to create something of her own. There was a lot of trial and error, late nights designing, packing orders on the floor, flying across the world for photo shoots, and saying yes to opportunities that felt equal parts exciting and terrifying. Looking back at these photos feels like flipping through a diary of the last decade. From the early carefree days chasing a dream, to Miami Swim Week, to the countless behind-the-scenes moments building something I believed in. And somewhere along the way life changed too. The journey that started with a young girl taking risks and having fun slowly grew alongside me. Soon I was designing collections while pregnant, and now here I am 10 years later with my one-year-old daughter watching it all continue to evolve. TJ SWIM has never just been me. It’s been shaped by an incredible community of women who have supported the brand, worn the pieces, shared the journey, and believed in what we’re building. I’m endlessly grateful for that. So on International Women’s Day, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for supporting women who take risks, who start small, who grow, evolve, and keep showing up.
