POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One week ago, artists from all across the country arrived in our very own Pecos, Texas, with a shared purpose: to help transform our town into a place whose appearance better reflects the beauty, spirit, and character of its community.

To say it was a success would be an understatement. ❤️

Art has a way of transcending the things that divide us. It brings people together, tells stories, sparks inspiration, and reminds us of who we are, where we come from, and the beauty of the land we call home.

Now, the walls of Pecos tell a little more of our story. They reflect our people, our culture, our environment, and the spirit that makes West Texas so special.

Our hope is that this is only the beginning of a much bigger journey. A journey where art continues to transform not only the spaces around us, but the way we see our community and the possibilities within it.

We are beyond excited to finally share the incredible murals that came to life during this year’s Tumble West Art Fest! 🎨

And what better way to kick things off than with a reminder to…

✨ STAY WILD ✨

🚨 PECOS 🚨

This artist has a message created just for us and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Meet ✨Tara Johnston✨

Tara is bringing her love of bold florals, hand-drawn details, and joyful spaces all the way to Pecos.

Tara Johnston is an Austin-based mural artist & designer known for her bold use of color, stylized florals, and custom, hand-drawn lettering. Her work explores themes of nature, optimism, and our connection to the places around us, while drawing visual inspiration from folk art, vintage textiles, and traditional decorative arts.

Tara’s background in interior design has shaped her interest in how art can influence the way we experience everyday spaces, and through her work, she hopes to create moments of beauty, joy, and connection.

We can’t wait to see the little bit of magic she brings to the Wild West🌵🎨

Save the date and spread the word! October 3rd in downtown Pecos, Texas 🤠

Quick rainy trip to Austin for some pre-wedding errands with @mirchi.meagan. Saw some familiar artwork by @taraleighjohnston and ate some delicious Italian food at @ilbruttoaustin.
