Yay for May. It’s also a great time to address mental health awareness topics. More on that later. For now I am trying to focus on accomplishments no matter the size because only looking at comparisons and shortcomings hasn’t exactly been effective so far. Wonder why? 🫠 anyway, HBD to @tarastreeterart and if you’re in Michigan I hope you’re staying warm and sane #vitaminddeficiency #seasonalaffectivedisorder #shopsmall #supportsmallbusiness #entrepreneur #michiganartmoms #9tothrive

Welcome to our first #funfeaturefriday 💛 since October is the month of drawing challenges, we wanted to feature some of our favorite work from those drawing challenges! So each Friday for the rest of the month we will be sharing some of the amazing work we’ve been seeing! If you want to be featured, use our hashtag #funfeaturefriday or you can reach out to us via comment or message! To start, we selected a handful of our favorite responses to drawing prompts so far! Slide 1 ✨ such a lovely piece created by @mar_de_lio for the second prompt #hauntedpotion for #hallowhimsy ✨ we love the concept they came up with! Slide 2 ✨another whimsical piece for #hallowhimsy created by @hazelsnotebook ✨ there is something so sweet about what they created! Slide 3 ✨ this colorful creation was made by @nobledemons in response to the second prompt from #drawlloween which was #pumkpin ✨ the colors mixed with the gentleness in this piece is so refreshing! Slide 4 ✨ we’re loving this old school radio that @tarastreeterart art created for day 4 of #inktober which was #radio ✨ such a nice, clean drawing of a nostalgic vintage item! Slide 5 ✨ we’re in awe of this extremely detailed, magical drawing by @dustinbailard for day 5 of #drawlloween which was #witch ✨ this drawing has such a lovely narrative! Slide 6 ✨ this awesome graphic drawing made by @florafaunaart was for the sixth prompt of #inktober, #rodent ✨ we like the use of a rodent skull, perfect for spooky season! Slide 7 ✨ this lovely spooky painting is by @northerlygoods in response to #vampire which was day 7 of #drawlloween ✨ the minimalist approach and haunting quality stood out to us! Slide 8 ✨ #tarot was day 8 of #drawlloween and @sarahhughesillustration came up with this clever illustration for it ✨ the color palette is so nice and we enjoy seeing the tarot reader as opposed to just a card! These are just a few of hundreds, probably thousands, of amazing pieces of art that have been created this month! Shoutout to every artist who has created even one piece so far this month. You all rock, keep doing what you do! 💛

Hello my name is SJ 🙂👋🏻 and this is my post for a local online art vending event being put together by some amazing Lansing, MI artists! • A little about myself ☺️ My art business is Faerie Figments @faeriefigments on Instagram, and FaerieFigments on Facebook. • I am a disabled artist with a focus on illustrating; fantasy, plants, the cosmos, meditation, surrealism, disability, mental health, pagan/witchy vibes, and blackwork/line work. I like to infuse my work with a lot of energy so I post my frequent magic shenanigans on my art accounts as well. Creating a whimsical, playful, and high vibration atmosphere is very important to me, especially when it comes to making my art. If you're a witchy, star/plant loving, creative weirdo, then I'm your gal ;) • I have massive interest in tattoo design and have had a couple clients tattoo my work already, but that's still a work in progress <3 Please always ask artists permission first before tattooing or using any of their designs. • You can check out my work on both my instagram and facebook. I am particularly active on my instagram stories (posting almost daily), and it's important to me to get better about posting regularly/consistently to my wall so everyone knows what to expect and can maybe even have something to look forward to on certain days. Shooting for new posts on Wednesdays and Fridays :). Since I am disabled and have very limited energy, these scheduled post days may not always go according to plan, but it's still the goal! I know most people are very understanding of this, and I appreciate it very much...along with the support <3 • I sell my work via redbubble currently, with hopes of moving to an Etsy and personal website in the future. The link to my redbubble shop however, if you’d like to purchase some rad art and support a small artist, can be found in my instagram bio! 😊 • Thanks for reading a bit about me and my work. I hope you'll come join the Faerie Figments Fam :) As well as check out the rest of the awesome local Lansing artists being featured in this event! To participate simply tune into @extracelestial_being and @manday25 IG stories this weekend Fri. Aug. 21 -Sun. Aug 23!

Hi my name is Autumn Hopkins and I run a small art business Aura Lee Gallery! I’m located in the Lansing area but I sell and create art that’s available online as well through my website www.auraleegallery.com. I started this business in 2016 and named it after my beloved grandma who passed that year, she was someone who never stopped pushing me to be creative. Some of the art I create are digital, handmade, or even commissions. No matter what I do, I do it to inspire others and hope that my items bring joy or creativity into someone’s life. You can follow me on Instagram and Facebook @auraleegallery. If you buy an item or commission during the virtual vending you will get a free sticker with your purchase! Links will be in my bio, you can also follow my personal for more updates @tumtum_98. I’m excited for this weekend and please go and follow these other amazing artists!

Hey there everyone I’m Mandy Mann! I am an artist of few, but well chosen words because, ya know, if I could say it in words, why would I need to paint? That’s what I do, paint with acrylics! It’s been a long journey as a self taught artist and everyone’s support along the way is so appreciated. Want to know how I got into art? Want to know where my inspiration comes from? Want to ask me anything? I’m going to go live at 12pm on Saturday on my art facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/mandymann25 Most of my work is posted on my instagram @manday25 and finally, I’m going to be running a 20% off sale on all my prints through the whole weekend! Holla! Check out my etsy shop and use the code MANDAY20 at checkout to get 20% off. This is so cool! @tarastreeterart drew me with a reference and without. Thank you Tara! I especially love the way you draw curls, which is really hard for a lot of artists. Also I like that in your mind’s eye I have such babe lips, I am going to wear lipstick in your honor at a gala inside my house featuring my guest of honor, my cat. We will be eating defrosted and reheated tamales.
