🚨 COMMITTED! 🚨⚽️

I’m extremely excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and soccer career at Tuskegee University fall 2027, competing at the NCAA Division II level!

I’m incredibly grateful to God, my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. A special thank you to Coach Tarpley for believing in me, giving me this opportunity, and trusting me to be part of the Tuskegee family.

I’m ready to work, compete, grow, and earn everything that comes next. I’m excited for this new chapter and proud to represent Tuskegee University on and off the field.

LET’S GET TO WORK! 🐯⚽️

Today, BJ Armstead and Jelani Sutton had the opportunity to speak with the Tuskegee University Soccer team! ⚽️🐯

First, we want to thank Coach Tarpley for allowing us to come in and pour into such a great group of young men. From beginning to end, the guys were attentive, engaged, and asked some GREAT questions.

BJ, as a sports psychologist and former Morehouse College student-athlete, spoke about the mental side of performance—resilience, self-talk, breathing techniques, focal points, and developing mental skills that can help athletes perform at their best.

Jelani, as a lead therapist at a leading psychiatric hospital in the Southeast, former professional athlete, and former Grambling State student-athlete, spoke about accountability, vulnerability, trust, and the importance of teammates creating an environment where they can truly rely on one another.

But our biggest message was that this information goes far beyond soccer.

We challenged these young men to take what they learned and use it in their lives, with their families, in their communities, and with everyone they come in contact with.

This one was especially meaningful because this is Tuskegee Soccer’s FIRST YEAR. For two former HBCU student-athletes to have an opportunity to pour into another group of HBCU student-athletes as they build the foundation of a new program is something we don’t take lightly.

And to do it at Tuskegee University—a historic institution and the home of the incredible legacy of Booker T. Washington—made the experience even more meaningful.

Special thank you to Brian Egeston for helping make this happen. We truly appreciate you!

Great group of young men. Great energy. Great questions.

We’ll definitely be back. 🤝🏾⚽️
