Experience ÍOVA Photography Collective's Human Touch at 21 Dawson St at Culture Night Dublin on Friday, 18 September! 📷
🕐 17:00 - 21:00

For its 7th annual Culture Night exhibition, ÍOVA Photography Collective presents Human Touch, a celebration of the creativity, care and connection that define the human experience. Founded in 2018 through conversations at John Gunn Camera Shop, ÍOVA has grown into a vibrant community of photographers, artists and analogue enthusiasts who believe in the value of learning, making and sharing together. In a time when so much of our lives is mediated by technology, Human Touch reflects on the importance of physical presence, craftsmanship and genuine human connection, exploring everyday experiences that cannot be replicated or replaced, from the warmth of sunlight on skin to the comfort of a reassuring smile.

We want to send the biggest, warmest thank you to every single person and pup who has made the Sausage Dog Socials what they are today not just the fabulous social we had yesterday. It is so wonderful to see everyone come together, share their love for this quirky lil breed, and just enjoy each other’s company.

Bobby is having quite the year! 🌭✨

Our superstar Dachshund Bobby has been featured in Irish Country Magazine, sharing the story behind Dublin's much-loved Sausage Social and his journey from pocket-sized pup to starring in campaigns, including his festive role for Brown Thomas 🎄

It's a brilliant read celebrating not only Bobby's success on set, but also the wonderful Dachshund community that has grown around the monthly meet-ups over the years.
Congratulations to Bobby and his fantastic owner on such a well-deserved feature! ❤️

@irishcountrymag shared the story of the Sausage Social. How one casual call-out in October 2018 became a monthly meet-up and how Bobby went from pocket rocket pup to @officialbrownthomas Christmas star. 🥰

For the sausage social, none of it was planned, just a hope a few doxies might show up. It’s the people who keep showing that have made it grow. It’s always been shaped by them. ❤️

Huge thank you to @adeleminer for the lovely chat. And to @tarynbarling, who has captured these our little doxie legends for over three years, rain or shine!

💚

Happy Dachshund Day

Maybe it’s the tiny legs moving at full speed. Maybe it’s the confidence of a dog who genuinely believes they’re the biggest personality in the park. Or maybe it’s because every dachshund seems to have a story, an opinion, and absolutely no intention of keeping either to themselves.

Here’s to Dublin’s sausage dogs. The city would be a lot less entertaining without them. 🐾🌭❤️

Photographer Spotlight- Amanda Braide
“The Weight of Things Unseen”
.
An exploration of internal experience translated through movement, portraiture, and performance.

A self-portrait constructed without the physical presence of the self, where other bodies become vessels for emotional states drawn from lived experience.

At its core, the work seeks an understanding of the self beyond shame. Through movement, internal and fragmented states are carried by other bodies, allowing them to take form.

The work unfolds as an ongoing process of coming into relation with the self, a gradual reclaiming of identity shaped not by arrival, but by repetition: persistence, reflection, and self-acceptance circling back in new forms.

It resists closure, positioning transformation as continuous rather than resolved, holding space for what remains unseen yet deeply felt.
