What an unforgettable evening.

I had the absolute honour of emceeing the 2025 Blind Australian of the Year Awards Gala Dinner in Brisbane and wow, what a night!

It’s not every day you feel like screaming with pride, “I’m blind!” But on this night, I truly, GENUINELY understood what disability pride means.

I’ve always believed that laughter is the best medicine, and I loved using my terrible jokes (you’re welcome!) to take everyone on a journey—where we not only celebrated the beauty of living with disability but also had a laugh at the weird, wonderful, and downright silly things that come with it. To everyone who came up for a chat afterwards—thank you. Those conversations mean the world to me.

Massive shoutout to the Link Vision team, recipients and finalists of the Blind Australian of the Year Awards, what a phenomenal group of people. Wouldn’t have been the night it was without my blind sisters @reggiebirdbb and @rachaeleahcar

And lastly and most definitely not the least, David, my oh so handsome, human guide dog❤️ and husband of course.

🥹WE ONLY WENT & BLOODY DID IT🫣
We sold out a fifth @thenightcat_fitzroy in the last 18 months.
My deepest thanks & eternal gratitude to everyone who threw ass on August 16 for Winter of Disco Content.
- 🎟️We let another 60 grovelling payers in at 9.45pm (which offset the $6K I spent on the show 🫣🤓) & it was a FULL HOUSE til 3am. 🕒
What went down:
- @robmillsymills emoted/smashed the fuck out of Jon Bon Jovi’s Blaze of Glory, backed by The Snapped Banjo Strings (@cjhmiller thegreer, me and Shane “Suburban Recluse” Burns) & @guitarzap who shredded the solo.
- @countrystruts led The Nutbush to Swamp Thing while @guitarzap (again) played his newly purchased banjo. Sorry for forgetting to put on the guestlist.🤓
- The Runway Slay™️ hit new heights of crowd participation @laura.may.grogan, Grant and Winnie scored the drink cards for being the wickedest/wildest. 👯‍♂️💃“Shake dat thing Miss Kana Kana.” Thx @rubyyystewart aka one half of Daft Cunt for being our DJ.
- The Wet Leg Wet Nurses tore the roof off (sorry VCAT) wearing scrubs at midnight to Wet Leg’s CPR. Thx Kezza, Rubes, @tildmaher @thewanderingstars 👩🏻‍⚕️
- @dj_yearningman warmed the room urrrrrp with some boompity boomp house music that tickled my gooch. 🍑
- @kylieauldist came in hawwwwt & blitzed Love Endeavour. Total pro. It was a @georgiiapayne request.
- @tseba_ remix of Satisfaction obliterated. “Push me and then just touch me…”
- A third of the set was requests from @nette_8311, @olivia_anne79 @hey_sim_one, Damien Moyse, @lak_shmi, @kateepop.
- Some big dogs came through @chelslovesit @tightarsesofmelbourne @tash_dumais (my unofficial videographer)
- @e_etheredge dressed as a Sexy Autistic Alien and someone threw her a fan which perfectly complemented her outfit.
- WE RECORDED THE WHOLE THING. Will launch it via Mixcloud, Soundcloud & hell why not YouTube next Friday.

Filled with gratitude for making it to this year’s @aacta Rising Stars Young Actors Top 50 on the Gold Coast. Today’s full day workshop is with three of Australia’s best casting agents Thea McLeod @mcleod_casting Anousha Zarkesh and Nikki Barrett @barrettcasting Pinching myself at the opportunity to learn from these industry greats. Such a wonderful opportunity to learn and connect with other like-minded teens too. Special shout out to @carla_castriotta who was also selected for the Top 50 Rising Stars and is represented by @parrmanagement - Loved hanging out with you today and sharing such a wild and memorable day.

What an incredible morning!
We kicked off the day with wellness, movement, meditation, connection, and so much fun! It was the perfect way to close out the year and ignite the spark for what’s to come. ❤️❤️❤️
I had an absolute blast guiding everyone through an energising personal training session. We laughed, we moved, and we fully embraced every moment. Then, Alicia (Leash) led us through a calming vitality meditation that left everyone feeling grounded, centred, and recharged.
And of course, we couldn’t resist nourishing ourselves with Arbonne’s incredible nutrition—those smoothie bowls were next-level! Healthy, vibrant, and oh-so-delicious!

A massive thank you to Alicia for all her behind-the-scenes magic in making this event come to life, and to our incredible Arbonne business partners, Natasha Dumais and Lisa Silva, for helping turn this vision into reality. 
This event wasn’t just a one-off—it’s the beginning of something bigger. It’s the first step in kickstarting a wellness movement that’s all about investing in YOU. And if there’s one thing this morning proved, it’s that you don’t need to wait for a New Year to begin your transformation.
