#NoPerfectionEra - Natural Habitat

I love this video @tastytravails shared with me today because it reminds me how amazing life is/can be/will be, what great times look like, how hot I was lookin' (m'kaaay?!👌🏿😘🔥), and that we can get there again. I mean, it's Summer and they're letting us go outside again!

I'ma still need folks to be cognizant and considerate of other folks during this time, though. The disease is still out there. It's real. People are still hurting, mourning and just wanna have their lives and loved ones back.

Yes, some tours and in-person concerts are moving forward. Hopeful and exciting! 😁 BUT, there's so much unknown out there. So much apprehension. So many new rules and protocols.

Please don't go out there, lose your minds and end up shutting down your faves. More shutdowns mean loss of income and livelihood for us.😢

To me, this pandemic feels like I'm a bird who wants to fly back and nest in my natural habitat, BUT the disease done paved "paradise and put up a parking lot" - - in front of an abandoned grocery store - - that keeps promising it's "opening soon". And that honestly sucks.

If your life has carried on, business as usual this whole time, awesome for you! You're one of the lucky ones. However, that doesn't erase other people's realities.

So, be kind, safe, patient and think about the world beyond the next two footsteps in front of you. We are all so interconnected - - it's more evident now than ever before! 😊

Things aren't going to be the same out there for a while and they may never completely return to what we know, love and are used to.

So while I DEARLY miss singing, spinning and twirling on stages (my natural habitat), seeing all of your beautiful faces, smiling and laughing until my cheeks hurt, traveling to see my friends/extended fanmily all around the world, having boundless energy and rocking my "tour body", I know I have to be patient. It's a struggle, but I have to have faith.

We don't have to live in fear, just live with a little bit of love and compassion for the well-being of others. Can we have a little faith together, so we can all return to our natural habitats?
