THATS A WRAP , Bruton! ✨

Art sold, new connections made and so much to be grateful for.

GATHERED has left me tired but very happy—and a few more pieces have found new homes since i closed! 👏👏

Huge thanks to amazing @bruton_townhouse who hosted me in their space. Full of natural light and character - not only was the place utterly charming - so were the owners! Such a delight ❤️

As always, a HUGE thanks to my artists for entrusting me with their craft, always such an honour and privilege- @andreacurtisdesigns @belindamillar_art @sjwart2022 & @sophiewrightart it was a joy.

And last but not least , EVERYONE that came along and supported the show and my artists.

So much goes into these shows and I’m eternally grateful for the love they receive 🤍

GATHERED, in every sense of the word. ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined me for a wonderful evening at my PV for the opening of my new group show “GATHERED” —such a pleasure to share this collection with familiar faces and new visitors alike.

Bringing together still life and the countryside, my second Bruton group show celebrates the beauty of everyday things through the work of @andreacurtisdesigns @belindamillar_art @sjwart2022 and @sophiewrightart

Flowers 🌺 fruit 🍋 , treasured objects 🏺 and familiar landscapes, each seen through a different artistic eye.

A few pieces have already found new homes, but there is still time to find your favourite 🖼️

ONCE UPON A TIME……i bought my first original painting… ✨

Almost 17 years ago, long before The Forever Curates existed, I commissioned a work from Mariska Meijers. It was the beginning of my own journey with original art—and to now represent her feels like a rather wonderful full-circle moment. ⭕️

Mariska’s paintings are pure expressions of joy: vibrant, instinctive and full of character.

Her unexpected compositions and confident use of colour create small but powerful moments—works that immediately lift a room and continue to reveal 🍋🍐themselves over time.

Original art does not need to feel out of reach, and these pieces offer a beautiful, accessible way to begin—or add to—a collection.

Mariska’s work marked the beginning of my own art story almost 17 years ago.

To represent her today feels like the loveliest full-circle chapter—and perhaps one of her paintings could be the beginning of your own story too. 💚

A LITTLE REINTRODUCTION…👋💕

As summer 🌻begins to draw to a close—and with quite a few new faces joining me here recently—it felt like a lovely moment to reintroduce myself and share a little of the story behind @theforever_curates

I’m Karen Thomas, founder and curator.

Before moving into the art world, I spent more than 20 years working in luxury fashion—an experience that continues to shape my eye, my approach to curation and, of course, my enduring love of colour. You’ll still usually find me in a wonderfully bright outfit somewhere along the way! 🌈🤡👗💃

I officially launched The Forever Curates website in July 2025. Since then, the business has naturally evolved, with representing and championing contemporary artists becoming its beating heart.

Today, The Forever Curates moves between carefully curated online collections, characterful pop-up exhibitions and creative collaborations—all united by a belief in the transformative power of living with original and joyful art.

Earlier this year, after 30 years in London, I relocated to Bruton with my husband and daughter, marking a new chapter for both our family and the business. While I continue to work between London and Somerset, becoming part of Bruton’s wonderfully creative community has already been incredibly special.

And now, an exceptionally busy autumn lies ahead…

I’ll be launching The Capsule Edit at @smouk_interiors —a bricks-and-mortar collection of original artworks priced under £400—followed by two new group exhibitions: GATHERED at @bruton_townhouse and COMPANIONS, a deeply personal celebration of our connection with animals at @thisishost in Leyton, London 😻🐶

Whether you’ve been here from the very beginning or have only just joined the journey, thank you for following, supporting and coming along for the ride. It truly means such a great deal. 🙏🤗🥰
