Today is a special day. 25 years ago today, i started Robin Rains Interior Design ! An easy day to remember since it was the day before 9/11. Yikes, this timing was scary !

As i reflect on these past 25 years , i am amazed how fast time has passed and running a design business is crazy hard! I have had my ups and downs , a bookkeeper who stole a LOT of money from me, a home office that endured way too many floods to name a few.

I have traveled all over the world for my work and have met incredible souls who have molded and inspired me and helped me along the way.

Business has had its ups and downs i have succeeded, failed, learned, grown, laughed and cried!

I have started an antique business that enriches and delights me and i get to travel abroad often to buy. I have a third business “to the trade” and am blessed to have wonderful partners i love . I have been and remain busy !

I have been blessed beyond words for the most amazing employees i could possibly ask for . Without them, i would not be here today. Some have gone on to have their own successful business and i am so proud of them. My design team inspires me and pushes me to be my best ! I cannot thank them enough for their dedication, hard work, trust and friendship .

And to my clients ….oh so many through the years that have become great friends. Many of you are like family. i love you dearly and am blessed to be a part of your lives in helping make your homes your safe, happy place. Thank you for your trust in me! There is no place like home !

I am deeply grateful to God for blessing me with a career i love. My prayer is that i glorify God everyday in the way i run my business, train my people, treat my clients. I strive to reflect HIM daily in my work .

Proverbs 11:25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered “.

Love this saying : It is NOT true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old , they grow old because they stop pursing dreams!!!

The Lord willing , i will continue to spread beauty in this world as long as i can !
