We analysed 100 luxury projects across Hong Kong and Singapore. One number stood out.

Over 80% of those projects specified fabric, flooring, and wallpaper — all three — through Tat Ming. Not one category. Not two. The complete material palette from a single source.

In an industry where splitting across four or five suppliers is still the default, that number tells you something important.

Designers don't consolidate to make life easier. They consolidate when the depth is genuinely there to support it.

When a single supplier carries 20+ of the world's finest luxury brands across three full categories, specifying everything through one name stops being a shortcut — and starts being the smarter creative decision. The palette holds together as one design language. The project runs on a single timeline. The result looks exactly as intended.

That's what four decades of curating the right brands across Asia actually makes possible — in Singapore, Malaysia, and beyond.

What does your current sourcing process look like? Drop it in the comments we read every one!

Here's something nobody tells young designers. The material that gets the most compliments on install day is often the one causing the most problems five years later.

Beauty is easy to judge in a showroom with perfect lighting and zero foot traffic. It's a different test entirely once that same material sits in a hotel lobby through three humid summers, a thousand rolling suitcases, and a cleaning crew that doesn't read the care instructions.

That's the part nobody talks about. The real skill in this industry isn't finding something beautiful. It's saying no to beautiful things that won't survive contact with real life, and knowing which ones will.

@tatmingsingapore exists for that exact moment, when a designer needs a material that can pass both tests, the one in the showroom and the one five years from now, sourced across 40+ luxury brands built for exactly that kind of scrutiny.

Nobody claps for the decision that prevents a problem. But it's the only decision that actually matters.

Agree?

You walk into a space and something shifts. You can't name it right away, but it's there, sitting underneath everything else🪵

The furniture didn't do it. The lighting didn't either. It started at the floor.

The best designers and architects already know this. The floor is where character lives, where warmth is either earned or lost, and where the wrong call quietly ruins everything built above it.
@profilegno.srl has been getting that call right for over 40 years.

Handcrafted Italian wood flooring, collections like Vecchia Quercia, Oak, and Walnut, each one built with a finish that doesn't just look good on day one but holds its character for decades.

This isn't about trends. It's about building spaces that still feel intentional ten years from now.

Your client swears it's marble. You let them..

Because the moment they find out what real stone actually costs to maintain, that conversation gets uncomfortable fast. Cold underfoot, cracks under pressure, grout lines that go grey before the first year is out. Beautiful material, brutal upkeep.

There's a smarter way to get there.

@amticoflooring Signature's stone range gives you limestone, marble, raw concrete, whatever the project calls for, warm underfoot, no grout to scrub, tough enough for a hotel lobby, and backed by a 60 year warranty. The look holds, the floor holds, and your client never has to know the difference.
The real question isn't whether it looks like stone. It's what you'd design if stone floors had none of the limitations.

The samples are with @tatmingsingapore whenever you're ready to find out.
