We analysed 100 luxury projects across Hong Kong and Singapore. One number stood out. Over 80% of those projects specified fabric, flooring, and wallpaper — all three — through Tat Ming. Not one category. Not two. The complete material palette from a single source. In an industry where splitting across four or five suppliers is still the default, that number tells you something important. Designers don't consolidate to make life easier. They consolidate when the depth is genuinely there to support it. When a single supplier carries 20+ of the world's finest luxury brands across three full categories, specifying everything through one name stops being a shortcut — and starts being the smarter creative decision. The palette holds together as one design language. The project runs on a single timeline. The result looks exactly as intended. That's what four decades of curating the right brands across Asia actually makes possible — in Singapore, Malaysia, and beyond. What does your current sourcing process look like? Drop it in the comments we read every one! Here's something nobody tells young designers. The material that gets the most compliments on install day is often the one causing the most problems five years later. Beauty is easy to judge in a showroom with perfect lighting and zero foot traffic. It's a different test entirely once that same material sits in a hotel lobby through three humid summers, a thousand rolling suitcases, and a cleaning crew that doesn't read the care instructions. That's the part nobody talks about. The real skill in this industry isn't finding something beautiful. It's saying no to beautiful things that won't survive contact with real life, and knowing which ones will. @tatmingsingapore exists for that exact moment, when a designer needs a material that can pass both tests, the one in the showroom and the one five years from now, sourced across 40+ luxury brands built for exactly that kind of scrutiny. Nobody claps for the decision that prevents a problem. But it's the only decision that actually matters. A feature wall that lowers the noise floor of the room — that's not a finish, that's a performance material🌟 When you're specifying for hospitality, F&B, or boardrooms, you're usually juggling three separate line items: acoustic treatment, a durable wall finish, and something visually strong enough to carry the space. Three products, three suppliers, three things that can go wrong. The Arte Terra Collection (Belgium) collapses all three into one spec line — a 3D textile on non-woven backing with measurable acoustic absorption, stain-repellent performance, and a sculptural depth inspired by ancient clay and stone mosaics. The lesson worth saving: before you add another acoustic panel to the schedule, check whether your wall finish can do the job itself. Fewer materials, fewer trades, fewer failure points. Terra is on display at the Tat Ming Singapore showroom, part of the 30+ brand library we've built so everything you specify lives in one place. Comment "TERRA" and we'll send you the full spec sheet. #TatMingSingapore #TatMingGroup #Wallcoverings #InteriorDesignSingapore #InteriorDesignMalaysia #SingaporeArchitects #MalaysiaArchitect #IDSingapore #IDMalaysia #MaterialSpecification #ArteWalls #AcousticDesign #HospitalityDesign #FnBDesign #TextureWall

One of Nanjing's most talked about new showflats, and every visitor stops at the walls first. 176 square metres, built for China Merchants, styled by Navor Design. The brief sounds simple until you actually try to pull it off. Make a home feel like old Nanjing and brand new, in the same breath. The walls carried that entire idea. @artewalls from Belgium brought velvet textures, brushed brass, and ink wash finishes that shift with the daylight throughout the day. Any designer who's lived through the gap between a render and the actual install knows how rare it is when the finished space looks better than the drawing. This is what happens when the material choice does the storytelling instead of just filling space. Designing a home that has to feel like somewhere, not just look like something? The full range, over 20 luxury brands, is with @tatmingsingapore, all under one roof. . . . #luxurywallcoverings #arte #interiorarchitecture #residentialdesign #showflatdesign #wallcoveringdesign #designdetails #timelessdesign #luxuryinteriors #interiordesign #architecturedesign #singaporeinteriordesign #sginterior #sgdesign #singaporedesigner #interiorssingapore #singaporearchitecture #malaysiainteriordesign #klinterior #interiordesignmalaysia #kldesign #malaysiaarchitecture #kualalumpurdesign #myinterior #klhome #myhome #aseandesign #chinadesign

Twenty years inside Asia's five-star suites and most architects still can't name it. That's not a marketing failure. That's a specification masterclass. Because here's what hospitality designers actually optimise for: a material that reads as leather but passes fire rating, wipes clean after a thousand check-ins, and arrives colour-consistent batch after batch, project after project. Real hide can't promise that. Hand-embossed vinyl from Toulouse can. There's a deeper lesson in longevity, too. A range that's been continuously produced for two decades is a range you can spec without discontinuation anxiety. In specification, boring reliability is a luxury feature. The range is Élitis Legends — Anguille and Big Croco spec'd into Mandarin, Banyan Tree, Capella, and Park Hyatt suites. Exclusively at Tat Ming Singapore, alongside 30+ international brands we've curated across 45 years in Asia. DM "LEGENDS" and we'll send swatches straight to your studio. #Elitis #LuxuryInteriors #HotelDesign #HospitalityInteriors #DesignerWallcoverings #TatMingSingapore #TatMingGroup #Wallcoverings #InteriorDesignSingapore #InteriorDesignMalaysia #SingaporeArchitects #MalaysiaArchitect #IDSingapore #IDMalaysia #MaterialSpecification
