I got some new ink by the queen @tattedbybetsy This panther came to me in a vision, jumping through the moon into me so I wrote a poem about what it means to me.

The Panther

She’s always with me, standing guard,
protecting me through seasons hard.
Always patient, always watching,
fierce in instinct, never faltering.

She does not question what she knows.
She trusts her truth and lets it show.
She carries no shame for who she’s become.
She knows her worth and is made of love.
Calm and quiet until she must be—
she is the anger inside of me.

With her protection, I feel strong.
With her intuition, I sense when something’s wrong.
Her inner knowing runs so deep,
never judgmental—only careful, aware, and keen.

Her beauty is a camouflage;
she mesmerizes before you see her claws.
She moves with fluid feline grace,
silent power in every pace.

Her strength and beauty are what you see,
but she loves with intense ferocity.
Protecting all she holds close,
going to battle when needed most.

With her beside me, I weather any storm.
The rain becomes cleansing,
the lightning transforms.
It illuminates the path before me—
in alignment, she walks beside me.

The thunder no longer shakes my soul.
It reminds me of the power I hold.

Like her, wisdom lives within my voice.
My words are intentional,
not egoic noise.

My anger protects me from those who harm me.
When she bares her teeth,
I set boundaries.

I am her, and she is me—
instinct wrapped in skin and bone.
Soft enough to love deeply,
fierce enough to stand alone.

I do not fear my power.
I wield it with honor.
A woman led by instinct,
in my truth, I do not falter.
Softened by love,
fueled by desire,
strengthened by survival—
every lesson has been vital.

The wild and the wisdom intertwined.
A deep-rooted knowing of my worth
I can no longer deny.

I no longer apologize for my presence.
Strength and beauty are my essence.

I was never meant to be small.
And the panther taught me all.

“ICE Fuera De Austin is a community group who fight to keep families who live under the threat of deportation.
We work at the intersection of immigration and the criminal justice system. We believe no one should be deported, and the only fight that can be won is the one made in the community.“

Workshop 1 w/ @adrianjflores_
Groove Foundations is an open-level class designed to reconnect you to the most essential element of dance: your groove. Before choreography, before performance, before “getting it right” — there is rhythm, bounce, and the natural way your body wants to move.

In this class, we break down the core grooves found across hip-hop, house, latin music street styles, focusing on timing, weight shift, bounce, and musicality. You’ll learn how to sit inside the beat, ride the rhythm, and build confidence in your movement through repetition, drills, and guided freestyle.

No experience needed — just a willingness to move.

Workshop 2 w/ @_adriansalazar_
This is a choreography class where you will apply the knowledge received & honestly—JUST DANCE! You can expect the confidence that is already in you to be pulled out & feel what it is like to move with intention. If you know what it’s like to be in my class then you know we are about to MOVE!
•
Special thanks to our LATINX sponsors for being apart of a movement and helping fight the fight! All info is on the flyers above & should anyone want to sponsor or donate please reach out to me directly via DM or EMAIL! Let’s do THAT one!
