I’m still very much in the process of sorting all my feelings out from the events of this past weekend.

I still can’t believe I premiered my film at my favourite theatre in Montréal.

I still can’t believe 20+ people I love drove all this way just to watch it and show their support.

I still can’t believe the community turned up and filled the rest of the room the way that they did,
that people laughed and shed tears to something that started as words on a page six years ago, that some of our actors were able to finally see their faces and incredible performances on the big screen, that some of our crew could see their hard work be loved and appreciated, that my two boys could see what’s possible if they just dream big enough and persevere.

Maybe this is not the Oscar’s or an 11 minute standing ovation at Cannes, but I’m humbled by it.

I’m inspired.

I’m filled with gratitude.

I recognize this as a first step and want to allow myself to bask in these feelings for a tiny bit longer.

I’ve decided that I deserve to.

Thank you to @filipinosofmontreal for making this a reality. There’s no way this event would’ve come to be without your belief and ability to transform ideas into tangible things.

Thank you @aidanc.m for capturing these moments that I’ll cherish.

Thank you to everyone who made it out! You could’ve very well watched Obsession, Madalorian and Grogu or the first half of game 5 Spurs/Thunder instead.

Time to get the Toronto (and wherever else this film takes us) screening planned and ready to go.

Life lately has been very overwhelming 🫠 but I’m grateful for friends who think of me more than I deserve, talented people all around, the weather getting nicer, my kids and their endless sports, and my cone-free dog. ❤️

The long awaited reveal 🥹

The cover design for The Theory of Uncertain Things has been such a whirlwind of emotions for me. I went through many ideas, trials, sketches, mockups and colour combinations, and none of it felt right for the longest time.

But then came @tattju and her incredible mind and talent and together we brought Coralie and Holden to life 🥹

This image is inspired by chapters 4 and 16, and everything from her little smile to the shadows of the fishies and palm trees, to Holden (HELLO?! 🥵) is so right I can’t stop looking at it.

There’s also a cameo of everyone’s favourite side character 🫣🐙

I can’t wait to have a physical copy of this beauty and display it on my shelf! And at the end of May, you’ll be able to as well! 🤭🥰
