One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from producing documentaries for 15 years is that there are so many things you simply cannot control, but, if you keep an open mind and are willing to go with the flow, often times the scenario works out better than you could’ve even imagined. With some fun lessons in there along the way. At the end of the day, documentary is capturing life as life is. And we have far less control than we realize, but, if we stay hopeful and keep moving forward, there’s often a rainbow after the rainstorm.

Tomorrow is the day!! Here’s everything we did the day leading up to our long anticipated magical realism segment for our incredible participant, Alex! A yupik mother who has spent over a decade advocating for equitable care for her daughter with a TBI. Tomorrow we bring her story to life through dance, song and community ✨❤️✨

What a season the entire crew @alaskaheliskiing had this year at @powdahmountain.
We call this ‘good till the last drop’ in the Chilkats as this season delivered pow all the way to the final bell. Check out some iPhone clips out the window flying with @temscohelicopters @slinky.ryan and @emoney
We are beyond blessed to have such a strong and talented crew at @alaskaheliskiing @kooshpow @freyer @skiing_ian_ @zackwentz @alaskawilder @kay.leewalden @isaiahjboyle @tatummtat @jake__chastain #alaska #powderskiing #homesteadvibe #powwwww #heli
