Throwback | Lady Gaga – Paparazzi (Live on Saturday Night Live)

📅 October 3, 2009
📍 Studio 8H, NBC Studios, New York
👥Dancers: @asielhardison @taviasb @shadypasty

This marks Lady Gaga’s very first appearance as musical guest on SNL.

This took place just three weeks after her iconic blood-themed Paparazzi VMA performance.

At age 23, Gaga was blowing up globally.
Her debut album "The Fame" dominated charts; both "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topping single charts across many countries.

"The Fame Monster" EP hadn’t come out yet — official release date November 18, 2009.

During her second SNL set that night, she premiered a short acoustic snippet of the unreleased Bad Romance.

At this point she hadn’t launched her own headlining tour. She spent most of her days jumping between TV tapings, radio interviews and award-show appearances promoting her record.

The Monster Ball Tour would officially kick off November 27, 2009.

Her "Paparazzi" performance includes a keytar solo, making it one of her most recognizable television renditions of the track.
